5) Maxine’s Fireweed Bistro
This is a small restaurant in Anchorage that is not to miss. They have an extensive wine list for a top quality dining experience at Maxine’s. The fresh food combined with the chef’s innovative twist makes for a unique experience each time. From the outside, the restaurant is not much to look at. Inside, however, the ambiance is cozy and eclectic, with great private booths for couples located along the side wall.

6) Snow City Cafe
This is possibly the best breakfast spot in Alaska. Snow City is located in downtown Anchorage. It’s usually busy, but well worth the wait! They have a great, expansive menu, something for everyone, even the picky eater! The service is good- attentive, cordial, and efficient. This could become your new favorite breakfast place!

7) F Street Station
When in Anchorage, this little bar is the place to go. Good beers and great food plus an awesome atmosphere makes for a fun time! You can sit at the bar and watch the cooks whipping up your food.This is a great local bar and they have the best butter clams in town. The food is a step above regular bar food.

8) Arctic roadrunner
Arctic Roadrunner has great burgers, including halibut and salmon burgers. Best cheeseburgers in the land… plus homemade onion rings that melts in your mouth! Oh – and hand-dipped shakes. This is a very good place indeed to indulge!
